We have extensive experience of processing and analyzing earth observation data. We are increasingly helping our customers make use of a number of open datasets to support their businesses.
Digital Terrain Modelling (LiDAR)
We are working on a variety of digital terrain modelling projects including modelling coastal change, clutter modelling for mobile telecommunications and visual impact assessments for new developments. We're experts in LiDAR and are helping our clients make use of open datasets through training in LiDAR processing and in the creation of 3d models and visualisations.

Satellite Image Processing
We are currently working for Defra on 2 Earth observation projects under the EODIP (Earth Observation Data Integration Pilot) programme helping to create analysis ready datasets from ESA's Sentinels 1 and 2 imagery. The initial focus is on vegetation indicators (NDVI and NDWI) and feature extraction.

Workflow development
We are developing workflows for RSPB to map kelp habitats in the South Atlantic - Tristan da Cuhna island complex where kelp supports an important lobster fishery and native biodiversity. This is just one example of how we are helping make satellite imagery more accessible and in an "analysis-ready" state by applying cloud masking and atmospheric correction and using image processing methods to extract features of interest.
